Kingfishers Cricket Club
The Kingfishers Cricket Club, or KCC is an amateur cricket club in Arizona. It was formed in the early 1990s and has played competitively around Arizona since then.
The KCC's team members are mostly expatriates of cricket-playing nations such as India, Pakistan, and the West Indies. The KCC has been in the top of the Arizona Cricket Association for the following seasons:
- ACA League A division Champions in 2004-2005 Season
- ACA League A division Runner ups in 2005-2006 Season
- ACA League B division Runner ups in 2006-2007 Season
The club has grown over time and it now has two teams known as KCC-A and KCC-B. The idea of having a B team inside the club was developed during the Arizona summer tournament of 2006 with the purpose of grooming players to play for A team in the future. In addition to serving the main purpose, the B team has done well by winning the B division championship in 2006-2007 season and reaching the semi-finals in the Arizaona day night summer tournament of 2007. Normally a new player first plays for B team and based on his performance he is moved to A team in the next season.
Recently, the KCC won the summer championship for the first time in 6 years after this championship has been introduced.
