King Gutierrez
Hernando Chico Gutierrez (born November 16, 1955) known by his screen name King Gutierrez or King 'Abdul' Gutierrez is a Filipino actor, director, politician and public servant. Sometimes he prevently as "Bolo Yeung of the Philippines" (bald and non-bald actor).
Early life
Gutierrez was born on Trece Martires, Cavite. Two of his siblings are TV host turned sport columnist Napoleon 'Nap' Gutierrez and actress Mia Gutierrez.
Acting career
He usually portrayed antagonist roles in action films starring Fernando Poe, Jr. and later antagonist and non-antagonist roles in the action films which stars his longtime friend Ramon 'Bong' Revilla, Jr.
He also had portrayals as a main villain and non-main villain roles in which starred to action stars such as Ronnie Ricketts, Lito Lapid, Rudy Fernandez, Phillip Salvador, Robin Padilla, Ace Vergel among others. He played a lead role in the 1996 action film '' "Totoy Ng Bangkusay".
Gutierrez became a Vice President of the Character Actor of the Philippines in 1998.
Civic and political career
Gutierrez joined as a Master Sargeant in the Philippine Army Reserve Command.
On November 7, 2003 he was designated as the Deputy Agent of the Videogram Regulatory Board, primarily tasked to gather and report to the Chief Intelligence and Inspection Division all necessary intelligence information regarding compliance by videogram establishments of PD1987 Implementing Rules and Regulations.
He later become ACTIVE in government duties under the chairmanship of now Senator Ramon 'Bong' Revilla, Jr. He worked at the Senate of the Philippines, particularly under the Department Of Political Affairs. Gutierrez was authorized to provide assistance and support in the conduct of law enforcement operations and other related activities of the Board. He elected as City Council of Bacoor's 2nd District in 2013.
Gutierrez currently chairs the committees on Public Transportation and Traffic Management and Government Enterprises and Privatization, further elected as Board Member of the Philippine Councilors League and presently the Chairman of the newly constituted PLEB or People’s Law Enforcement Boards.
On August 11, 2015, He was awarded as “Pinakamahusay na Konsehal sa Lungsod ng Calabarzon” () by the Gawad Sulo ng Bayan. On May 9, 2016, was re-elected.
