Kineticsware, Inc.
Kineticsware, Inc. is a Software company and Microsoft partner that delivers enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions for supply chain-intensive companies in the high technology, consumer goods, apparel and textile value chains. Kineticsware was founded in September 2006 by two former Microsoft Dynamics executives, Jeffery S. Sampson (Jeff Sampson) and Richard H. Barnett and, as of June 2007, has over 30 employees worldwide. Jeff Sampson has served as Chief Executive Officer and Richard Barnett has served as Chief Marketing Officer since its founding.
History
Kineticsware was founded in 2006 as a software company that would help extend the functionality of Microsoft Dynamics AX through the implementation of their own software. Both Sampson and Barnett believed that Dynamics was not being adopted fast enough by those in and outside the Microsoft ecosystem and started Kineticsware in order to accelerate this process. The Microsoft ecosystem includes over 20,000 Microsoft certified partners worldwide. In April 2007, the weekly IT publication, Network World, ranked Kineticsware as one of the top ten enterprise resource companies to watch. Nucleus Research, in a September 2007 report, said that with Kineticsware, customers "...May Be able to enjoy the simplicity and integration of AX along with the technological sophistication and implementation know-how needed for a global supply chain."

Kineticsware Advanced Planning Solution (KAPSTM)
In March 2007, Kineticsware released their first product, Kineticsware Advanced Planning Solution (KAPSTM). KAPS is a comprehensive supply-chain solution across all areas of your organization. With KAPS, the user is given complete control over exception management, root cause analysis, problem resolution and global optimization. Integration with Microsoft Dynamics AX allows KAPS to share the look and feel, extensive reporting and speed that users of Dynamics AX have come to expect.
Modules
As a part of KAPS, there are six modules geared toward improving the functionality of different areas within a supply-chain intensive company:
- Strategy and Risk Management – evaluate, at the same time, the operational impact and financial risk of multiple supply chain scenarios with different supply, capacity, inventory and demand models.
- Sales and Operations Planning - combine multiple sources of information into a single model with both realistic representation and rapid plan execution to enable real-time, cross-functional decision-making, simulation, drill-down into operational detail, and execution through Microsoft Dynamics AX.
- Supply Chain Planning - manage the deployment of material and capacity across multi-tier supply chains, including outsourced manufacturing and channel partners, based on anticipated demand.
- Order Management - assign material and capacity to customer orders based on sophisticated prioritization and allocation rules.
- Factory Planning - improve production operations based on unique, simultaneous evaluation of material and capacity constraints.
