Kilo lani
Kilo Lani or kilolani, is a style of yoga developed by life coach and yoga practitioner Alika Medeiros.
The name Kilo Lani comes from the Hawaiian term meaning to "reach toward heaven".
Alika Medeiros, or Alika as he is more commonly known, developed Kilo Lani in 2005 through a fusion of traditional Astanga and Hatha practices with elements of Tai Chi and traditional movements from ancient Hawaiian ceremonies. Kilo Lani quickly became an integral part of the seminars and workshops that Alika put on throughout the world. Fitness centers began to incorporate The New style of yoga into their class schedules and programs.
Kilo Lani classes are taught worldwide. The programs have been developed to attract beginners as well as more experienced yoga practitioners and the elements of Hawaiian spirituality have resonated with many people. The Primary intent is to increase both physical and mental health through movement.
Recently, Alika offered a line of Kilo Lani videos sold through infomercials in the U.S. and Canada.
