Khan Sultan Muhammad khan Jadoon
Khan Sultan Muhammad khan jadoon KCB (Chief of Jadoon)(1890–1966) was a Pushtun Sultan. He was the Sultan of Hazara region and was the son of Khan Abdullah Khan of Bagra, under whose leadership in 1813, the Jadoons had predominated in the Bagra tract of Hazara Division, North-West Frontier Province of Pakistan by defeating the Karlugh Turks and the dilazaks. Khan Sultan fought against Sikhs who were persecuting Muslims in 1913 when his territory was threatened by the sikh invasion. 84 villages came under his territory.His territory which started from the right bank of the Indus, and opposite to the British town of Tarbela. Westward it extended till it met the higher ranges of the Hindu Kush. The Mahaban mountain, with its dense forest, came within his boundary, and the whole tract was wild and rugged in an almost inconceivable degree.He started rebellion against the Sikh control of the Hazara region. He finally fought the Mangal war and was defeated by the sikhs.
Early life
Khan sultan led a simple life.Although he was the biggest landowner of his division,he always led a simple life.All the problems that were faced by the local people and even disputed matter amomgst the tanolis and tareens were dealt by him.He was a very humble and down to earth person.He had two wives.The fist wife bore him 4 sons and two daughters while the second one bore him with a son and three daughters.His descendents still live in bagra village.He was given the title of Sultan when he was made the chief of Jadoon.He was a close friend of Sir Ayub Khan
