Kenn Grimes
Kenn Grimes is a retired Lutheran pastor who served congregations in Indiana, Kentucky and Missouri. In 1993 he moved to Maui, Hawaii, and began Simply Married, a wedding service, which eventually became the largest one on the island. During the eight years Kenn was there he performed over 3,600 ceremonies.
In 2000 he sold the business, retired and returned to the mainland to begin his writing career. His first book, a collection of short stories titled Camptown . . . one hundred and fifty years of stories from Camptown, Kentucky was published in 2005 by Arbutus Press. Kenn is currently working on two novels, The Other Side of Yesterday, the story of a lawyer in 1920's Kentucky who goes back in time to 1864, and The James Society, a religious conspiracy mystery.
Kenn and his wife, Judy, a retired minister in the Unity Church, spend the winter months at their home in Louisville, Kentucky, and their summers at their lakeside cottage in Lower Northern Michigan where both of them continue to perform weddings.
