Kelly King Anderson

Kelly King Anderson, (born March 15, 1973) in Burbank California. She is the founder of Startup Princess, an organization created as a resource site for Women Entrepreneurs. and was included by Forbes in their 2012 list of top resources for women entrepreneurs.

Career

Startup Princess is an international network that aims to offer resources and mutual support for women in business. In 2006, after Anderson struggled to raise funding for an initial startup business venture, Startup Princess was developed.

Anderson's Twitter account in 2012 was rated by Evan Carmichael on his list of "Top 100 Most Powerful Women Entrepreneur experts to follow".

Philanthropy

Anderson is one of the founding Trustees of the Bulgarian Orphanage Foundation: One Heart Bulgaria. Dedicated to helping Bulgarian children, this group seeks to improve living conditions among 27 orphanages in the country of Bulgaria. She has served on the Board of the foundation since its inception.

Personal life

Anderson currently resides in North Shore, Hawaii and serves the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at Brigham Young University - Hawaii as an Entrepreneur in Residence at the Mark and Laura Willes Center for Entrepreneurship. She serves in a volunteer, unpaid position and teaches Entrepreneurship, Social Entrepreneurship and Leadership courses to students from more than 70 countries. She lives with her husband Matthew E. Anderson and their three children.
