Kaywan Mohsen

Kaywan Mohsen, also known as K1, is a multimedia artist living in Århus, Denmark. Mohsen was born in the no-man's-land between Iran and Afghanistan. His father is from Afghanistan and his mother is from Iran. Due to the circumstances under which he was born, no birth certificate was issued giving his exact birthdate, and his true age is unknown.

Mohsen started writing his first screenplay around the age of 14. His first short film, Made In Denmark, was released and shown in three cinemas in 2002. Made In Denmark has since won four awards, including 1st place at Festival of Festivals in Denmark. On 3 April 2008 his first feature film, Eye For Eye, was released in 75 cinemas across Denmark. Both Made In Denmark and Eye For Eye were written, produced, directed and edited by Mohsen.

Mohsen also writes, composes, performs and produces his own scores/soundtracks.

Feature film

In January 2008 Mohsen started adapting Made In Denmark into a feature film, slated for release in late 2008.
