Kath Purkis
Kath Purkis (born 18 September 1985) is an Australian online fashion entrepreneur.
Purkis launched The Luxury online fashion retailer Le Black Book in April 2008 at just 22 under her company Le Black Book Pty Ltd.
Le Black Book is Australia's only luxury online retailer to offer a comprehensive online shopping experience. Le Black Book features Editor's notes, daily blog, Le TV and Le Magazine.
Le Black Book stocks designers such as Kirrily Johnston, Karen Walker, Sretsis, Ellery, Senada Theory, Anna & Boy, Amy Kaehne, Jacqui Alexander, Rachel Gilbert, Aje, Fleur Wood, Valerie Tolosa, Mrs Press, Saint Augustine Academy.
In September 2009 at 23 Purkis launched Noir Shop selling middle market womenswear. Purkis launched Noir Shop under her company Noir Shop Pty Ltd
Purkis is also a 2009 Clinique IT Girl, a young ambassador and face of the brand.
Purkis has been featured in Publications such as Vogue Australia, Ragtrader, Nett Magazine, Dynamic Business,Cleo Magazine, Oyster Magazine, Cream Magazine, 3D World, Southern Courier.
Purkis is currently the Director of both Le Black Book Pty Ltd and Noir Shop Pty Ltd
Purkis is currently based in Rushcutters Bay in Sydney, Australia.
Purkis was awarded Miss Online Diva 2009 and Miss Fashion Online Diva 2009, her first business awards to date.
Past
Purkis worked under Australian designer Akira Isogawa for two years before leaving to focus on her first company start up.
