Kashmir Life Line

Kashmir Life Line (KLL) is a first Emergency Medical Service started by Borderless World Foundation and Heath Department Of Kashmir in the year 2015. This is a first critical care, Trauma Care ambulance service started by Non Profit after 2014 India–Pakistan floods with the help of National Securities Depository Limited under the Corporate social responsibility. KLL is a 100% charitable and free medical service.

History and Mission

Kashmir Life Line was started in the year 2015 after devastating 2014 India–Pakistan floods. KLL was initiated in 2015 by Adhik Kadam, Zahoor Sheikh, Suhail Massodi in Srinagar, India. Kashmir life line is a Community service Project. The mission of KLL is "To Provide medical help in critical situations".

As of 2016, there are over 10 KLL Medical Units across the Jammu and Kashmir State. KLL inaugrated by Mufti Mohammad Sayeed Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir.

Programs

Kashmir Life Line mainly works in the conflict areas and specially giving Emergency medical services to the people who need much support in any medical emergency across Jammu and Kashmir. The project deal with all Major trauma Care, any Medical emergency with Advanced cardiac life support. Kashmir Life Line also organizes Medical Camps. Due to the medical emergency in 2016 Kashmir unrest after use of Pellet (air gun), there was a shortage of eye specialists who could treat the injured lying in Kashmiri hospitals. Borderless World Foundation with the help of Kashmir Life Line able to organize renowned ophthalmologist Sundaram Natarajan of Aditya Jyot Eye Hospital, Mumbai, arrived in the region on 26 July to treat eye injuries caused by the pellets and performed over 40 retinal surgeries in 3 days.

Achievements

KLL served people of Jammu & Kashmir State, region which is in the Armed conflict. Thousands of people saved and served with best medical support in the 2016 Kashmir unrest especially with Eye Surgeries. More than 600 critical retinal surgeries KLL able to do with the help of Retinal Surgeons, Borderless World Foundation and Health Department of Jammu & Kashmir.
