Karsten Runquist

Karsten Runquist (b. 1997) is an American film critic, YouTuber and filmmaker.

YouTube

Runquist launched his self-titled YouTube channel on November 7, 2014 and first posted in 2015. From 2017, he began posting content on his channel more frequently, analysing and critiquing film. As of January 2026, his channel has over 700 thousand subscribers. Runquist is also a highly prominent Letterboxd userhaving held The Title of the most followed user on the platform until Martin Scorsese joined the cite and overtook him shortly afterwards.

Filmmaking

Runquist studied at DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois, graduating with a BFA in Film & TV in 2020.. His 2022, short film, Dirtbag won several awards at different film festivals.
