Karinca Logistics is an international transportation and logistics company based in Istanbul, Turkey. Karinca Logistics offers logistics services such as contract logistics, overland transportation, air freight, ocean freight, railroad transportation, distribution, export & import consultancy, customs clearance & consultancy, warehousing and value added services.
Karinca Logistics has offices and warehouses at 26 different locations in 9 cities of Turkey. As of 2011 Karınca Logistics employs over 1000 people in its operations, and operates in over 200.000 sqm of warehouse space.
History
- 1986 - Start of customs consulting and clearance services, investment incentive services & insurance brokerage
- 1987 - Start of air freight services
- 1995 - Start of international road transportation services
- 1999 - Start of ocean freight services
- 2000 - Investments in energy distribution
- 2003 - Acquisition of Meyer & Meyer Turkey and start of investments in logistics
- 2007 - Expansion of value added logistics services inside and outside of Istanbul
- 2008 - Exclusive agency agreement with Kintetsu World Express
- 2008 - Establishment of a distribution chain for food and FMCG through acquisition
- 2010 - Expanding mines logistics and distribution services through a joint venture
Recognition
Karınca Logistics has been listed under Microsoft Success Stories for its custom implementation of Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
Karınca Logistics has been a member of United Nations Global Compact initiative since November 19, 2007.
