Karanjeet Saluja

Karanjeet Saluja also known as Kittu Saluja is a film director in The INDIAN Film, TV and Advertising Industry known for movie "Chain Kulii Ki Main Kulii".

Early life

Karanjeet graduated in Arts stream with BA (English Literature). He spent some time helping a relative in export business but soon realized that his heart is into something creative. To further his interest, he pursued Film and Television Production diploma from Xavier’s Institute of Communications (XIC) at Mumbai. Along with his studies, just to gain some hands on experience, he joined as an apprentice to cinematographer Faroukh Mistry (ad films). Karanjeet joined as assistant director to the top-notch music video director cum ad film maker Ken Ghosh in his production house Shadow Films, as soon as he completed his course.

In 2002, when Director Ken Ghosh started his first feature film Ishq Vishq for Tips with newcomers Shahid Kapur and Amrita Rao, Karanjeet joined the rank of associate director. The film turned out to be superhit and this also boosted Karanjeet’s confidence to step ahead as an independent director.

His First Venture as a director was “Chain Kulii Ki Main Kulii”. The film had a reasonable run at box office and garnered good reviews. Karanjeet’s success with his debut film resulted in number of feature films with kids as protagonist like feature film “Bhoot and Friends” with Jackie Shroff and Kids. Even though this film had a limited theatrical release it became the 2nd highest grosser in the history of Indian television.

Karanjeet Saluja has worked on Gujarati film "WASSUP ZINDAGI" as a Creative Director which is slated to release on 4 August 2017. His forthcoming Hindi film will go on floors soon.

Career in TV

Karanjeet Saluja achieved commercial and critical success and further directed “Bhootraja aur Ronnie” for Turner broadcasting which was a very big hit on TV Channels like POGO and CARTOON NETWORK that it had to be followed by a sequel “Bhootraja aur Ronnie 2”. Later he directed “Gol Mol Gongol” and “Sonu Vs. Soni” for Turner International India.
