Juniper Research was founded in 2002 by Tony Crabtree during the dot-com bubble. The company's first published report focused on broadband wireless LAN, a precursor to mainstream Wi-Fi adoption.
In 2021, Juniper Research was ranked as the third-most influential analyst house within telecoms, in a survey of research buyers conducted by CCGroup that also included Gartner, GlobalData, Forrester Research, and Frost & Sullivan.
