Jung won Yoon
Korean violinist,Jung Won Yoon began her studies at the age of five with her parents, both violin teachers. She soon was accepted at the prestigious Yewon Art’s School. She made her solo debut at the tender age of 11 performing Paganini Concerto in D with New Seoul Symphony Orchestra.
Ms. Yoon appeared in chamber music and solo concerto performances at major music centers including New York, Texas, Ottawa, Italy, and Korea. She took part in several classes with such violinist as with Joel Smirnoff, Arnold Steinhardt, Aaron Rosand, Pinchas Zukerman, and Donald Weilerstein. She is also a very active chamber musician having coached with members of Emerson String Quartet, American String Quartet and the Orion String Quartet.
A disciple of legendary Dorothy Delay at the Juilliard School. She also studied with Catherine Cho and Patinka Kopec. A merit Scholarships recipient, Ms. Yoon also received her Master Degree from the Manhattan school of Music and is currently pursuing her Professional Studies Degree at the Mannes College in the class of Ms. Lucie Robert.
