Juliette Cavendish

Juliette Cavendish is a British-born Australian photographic artist.

Born in Liverpool UK, she was educated at Prenton Preparatory School in Birkenhead, and later was awarded a music scholarship to attend SCECGS Redlands in Sydney, Australia. She is a graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music holds a Masters Degree in Research Methodology with distinction (CSU) and holds a PhD in Metaphysics (IMHS Institute) in which she gained a High Distinction upon graduation.

She emigrated with her family to Australia and has been a resident of Sydney for much of that time. Cavendish had an extensive music career before starting her photographic career. She was the official biographer of Australian Composer Dulcie Holland and spent seven years producing an extensive series of oral history recordings with her. She was a founding member of the SBS Radio and Television Youth Orchestra and a music curriculum developer for Australian Primary School music teacher training. She gained several European International scholarships for her music and represented Australia in Belgium Jeunesses Musicales International and Amsterdam in the field of music composition. She attended five National Music Camps in Adelaide, Geelong and Sydney.

She has won awards in international photographic competitions in Paris Hong Kong Australia and Asia for her photographic work. Often described as Event Portraiture, her unique works are often a combination of photography and painting techniques. Cavendish runs a "global kindness campaign" called 'I see you' in which she donates some of her photographic work to deserving community organisations around the world. To date, she has donated several thousand hours to organisations that would not have been able to afford a photographer at their event. In the past 12 months she has photographed iconic bands and individuals such as - The Beach Boys, The Temptations, Angry Andersen, The Great Moscow Circus, Dami Im, Dragon, Mi-[...], Rose Tattoo, Dom Vella, Rob Hurst, The Backsliders, Frank Bongiorno and many more. Cavendish spent three years travelling around Australia whilst home schooling her daughters donating her photographic skills to outback communities.
