History
Burness was born in London in 1978 and studied Silversmithing at Sir John Cass College at London Metropolitan University. She began creating jewellery while at the college in 2008. During that time, she worked in a casting factory where she learned how to mold different metals into designs. In 2010, she began creating on her own from a studio in Hatton Garden in London, a street famous for being known as London’s jewellery quarter.
Wanting to remain eco-friendly, Burness began creating jewellery with only recycled metals or artisanal or Fair Trade gold.
