Josh Rathweg

Josh Rathweg is an American business executive, franchise owner, and philanthropist. He currently serves as the Brand President. of Cloudbound and is a member of the Board of Trustees for Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego. He is the founder of Presence on Purpose and Primed Presence.

Early Life and Education

Rathweg attended The Ohio State University's Fisher College of Business, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. During his time at Ohio State, he was a Division I student-athlete on the soccer team.

Career

Rathweg began his professional career in the financial services sector. He held several leadership positions at JPMorgan Chase, including Executive Director and Market Director of Banking. He was recognized multiple times with the National Achiever award for profitability (2008, 2009, 2011, and 2014).

Rathweg transitioned in 2017 into entrepreneurship as a multi-unit franchise owner of Sky Zone, operating parks across five states. He was named "Franchisor of the Year" by CircusTrix in 2021 & 2023. He served two terms as the Chairman of the Sky Zone Franchise Advisory Council (2022–2024 and 2025–2027), representing over 100 US locations in corporate decision-making.

In October 2025, Sky Zone appointed Rathweg as the Brand President of Cloudbound, a new early childhood play concept.

Philanthropy and Board Service

Rathweg is active in several nonprofit organizations, often driven by personal experience with his daughter's successful battle against a malignant brain tumor.

  • Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of San Diego: Rathweg joined the Board of Trustees in December 2024 and was appointed Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee in June 2025. He actively raises awareness about childhood cancer
  • Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego: He served as a Foundation Board Member from 2018 to 2022 and has maintained a corporate partnership with the hospital since 2013
  • Wounded Warrior Project: He served as a volunteer from 2013 to 2017.
