Josh Buckley

Joshua Buckley (born 22 February 1992) is a British technology businessman and entrepreneur. Josh is the founder and CEO of MinoMonsters. He is best known for being the youngest CEO to raise money from the $2.7 billion venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz. In 2012, Buckley was named to Forbes Magazine's 30 under 30.

Early life

Buckley was born and raised in Kent, England. After beginning as a freelance programmer at the age of 11, he sold his first company at the age of 15, for a reported high six figure sum. At age 16, Buckley started travelling and investing. He funded the creation of DailyBooth, which later raised $7 million from Ignition Partners and Sequoia Capital.

Buckley graduated secondary school in 2010 and chose not to attend college, despite a set of "great" offers. He immigrated to San Francisco, California to participate in Y Combinator. During this time, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg took an interest in Buckley and his company.

Career

MinoMonsters

In 2011, Buckley raised $1.3 million in seed funding for his startup MinoMonsters. He was aged 18 at the time. As of November 2011, MinoMonsters had 11 employees. MinoMonsters launched their first product for the iPhone in December 2011.
