Joseph Nyangon

A TED 1 2007 Fellow, TED (conference) Joseph Nyangon, a Kenyan engineer and technology architect is a founder of TDS Global2 - multidisciplinary consulting firm working to strengthen institutions in both the private and public sectors. He is also a consultant and a digital editor of the Earth Negotiations Bulletin - an International Institute for Sustainable Development - Reporting Services (IISD-RS) publication, based in New York. IISD-RS provides a variety of multimedia informational resources, and is recognized for its objectivity and issue expertise in the field of international environment and sustainable development policy. He has also been a consultant with JICA, UN Agencies, World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF) researching on areas such as knowledge systems, technological innovation, emerging technologies and innovation systems.

He is heavily involved in promoting capacity building and sense of emergency among young people in Africa to take charge of their future. He maintains special interests in the role of international political institutions in promoting sustainable development, innovations, building social capital and the capacity of communities to engage in decision-making, and innovative social and political applications of new thinking.

Mr. Nyangon earned M.Sc. in Computing and Information Systems from the University of Greenwich (UK), a B.Sc in Engineering from the University of Nairobi and several certificates in conflict management, innovations, policy analysis, and project management
