Josef Marous

Dipl.-Kfm Josef Marous, was born in 1949. He studied at the Johann Wolfgang von Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main at the economics faculty and the law faculty from 1971 to 1976. He started in 1977 his career at Lurgi as controller of foreign subsidiaries in Brasil , Mexico, Canada, and the United States. From 1980 to 1984 he worked as chief of sales department for the Middle East ( Iraq, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates) of Brown,Bovery & Cie,( today ABB ) Mannheim. From 1984 to 1992 he served as head of Representation of Otto Wolff AG in the USSR and Russia and accompanied Mr. Otto Wolff von Amerongen to meetings with the Soviet and Russian leadership - Mikhail Gorbachov , Boris Yeltsin, Yury Luzhkov , Nikolai Ryzhkov and others. From 1992 to 1999 he worked as head of Representation of Thyssen AG and from 1999 he is head of the Representation of ThyssenKrupp AG in Russia.[http://www.thyssenkrupp.ru]He is also member of the board of ThyssenKrupp Materials OOO,1 ThyssenKrupp Elevator OOO2 and Polysius OOO. From 2002 to 2004 he was chairman of the Engineering and Manufacturers Committee of the European Business Club in Russia and from 2005 to 2006 Chairman of the Automotive Components Committee of the Association of European Businesses[http://www.aebrus.ru in Russia. In 2005 he was named Honorary Professor of the Academy ABOP of the Russian Federation. He served as President3 of Rotary Club Moscow International4 in 2002-2003 and founded the International Russian Rotary Children Music Competition5 in 2002.
