José Martín Sámano
José Martïn Sámano (born México City, October 6 1962) is news anchor and investigative reporter. Started his career back in 1987 working for Televisa, world's largest Spanish language TV producer. Participated in news programs with famous TV journalists such as Guillermo Ochoa, Ricardo Rocha, Jorge Berry, Jaime Maussán and Guillermo Ortega Ruiz. In 1995 first anchored "A Través del Video" (1995-1998), a new concept which combined investigative reports with recreations of the portrayed events. Working for Televisa, Sámano also anchored news shows "A Sangre Fria" and "En Concreto". In this period he wrote, edited and produced "Kennedy, la Otra Historia", an explosive documentary about the assassination of President John F. Kennedy (Kennedy, la Otra Historia, Programas de Investigacion 1992) This documentary-styled video first captured interviews with historians, researchers, image experts and witnesses of the assassination all leading to a US Government conspiracy theory to kill Kennedy. In 1998 Sámano joined Grupo ACIR Radio, where he anchored news shows "Panorama Informativo". In December 1999 he joined TV Azteca, private owned Mexican TV Network. Also, among his most notorious asignments are the 2001 earthquake that hit El Salvador, a special report about mexican immigrants living in Alaska In 2004 was awarded with Premio Nacional de Periodismo in Mexico. In September 2005 was first Latin reporter present in Biloxi, Mississippi and New Orleans, Louisiana, USA when Hurricane Katrina devastated the area.
