Jones Hope Wooten (Playwrights)

Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten are American playwrights, collectively known as Jones Hope Wooten. They enjoy the reputation of being three of the most popular and widely-produced playwrights in United States. More than a thousand productions of their plays were mounted within the first five years of their collaboration, entertaining hundreds of thousands of theatre-goers across the United States and in Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, Denmark, The Netherlands, Mexico and The Virgin Islands, as well.

Jessie Jones co-authored the classic, Southern-fried funeral comedy, Dearly Beloved, and its feature film adaptation, Kingdom Come, which was released by Fox Searchlight Pictures. Nicholas Hope served as Director of Casting at Theatre Communications Group in New York City and The Goodman Theatre in Chicago before returning to playwriting. Jamie Wooten was a writer/producer on the much-loved television series β€œThe Golden Girls.”
