John Skyler
John Brumbaugh (born October 26, 1987) is an American professional wrestler who currently wrestles on the independent circuit. He has also wrestled for mainstream promotions such as World Wrestling Entertainment and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling.
Professional wrestling career
Career (2008-2013)
Skyler made his professional wrestling debut on July 6, 2008 in Big Bear Lake, WV, suffering a loss to “The One Man Warning” Bill Bain. Since then Skyler has traveled throughout the United States trying to make a name for himself in the world of professional wrestling. Skyler has wrestled for several independent promotions all over the East Coast and has had the privilege of wrestling at the 2009 Cauliflower Alley Club Reunion in Las Vegas, Nevada. Skyler has waged war in five short years with the likes of “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan, Sid Vicious, “Boogie Woogie” Jimmy Valiant, Conor O'Brian, The Rock N’ Roll Express, Ronnie Garvin, TNA’s Gunner and Murphy, Lodi, and Chris Hamrick. Skyler has wrestled all over the country and has been a main-stay as of late at Former Smashing Pumpkins Front-man, Billy Corgan’s Resistance Pro Wrestling out of Chicago. This past year, John Skyler competed on World Wrestling Entertainment‘s Friday Night Smackdown on SyFy (as Tony Andriotis) to take on WWE Superstar, Ryback. In May of 2012, John Skyler competed in a dark match try-out for TNA Wrestling’s Impact Wrestling, based out of Orlando, Florida. John Skyler also ranked number 419 in the 2012 PWI 500. John cites his professional wrestling influences as Shawn Michaels, Terry Funk, Mr. Perfect, Bret Hart, Chris Jericho, Eddie Guerrero, and The Freebirds.
