John Ott (fighter)

John Ott (born 1988) is an American professional mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter. He currently fights for Titan Fighting Championship. He is known for his heart and determination.

MMA career

Ott began fighting in 2006 and held an amateur career record of 5-1. He turned pro in 2007 and lossed his first two fights before snatching a victory over Isaiah Larson by unanimous decision. After a few more fights he was able to knock out Brian Imes via punches. He would go on to defeat Imes again at Bellator 26 via Unanimous Decision. He made his Titan Fighting Championships debut against former WWE Professional Wrestler Bobby Lashley. After a rough first two rounds, where he was almost stopped due to ground and pound, Ott bounced back and almost defeated the exhausted Lashley in the 3rd round. After losing by Unanimous Decision he faced another former UFC veteran Jake Rosholt at Titan Fighting Championships 18. Again, after a bad first two rounds Ott was able to bounce back and win, but it was not without controversy. As Ott was getting back to his feet Rosholt illegally kneed him while he was on the ground and stunned Ott for a few minutes. The bloody Ott won by disqualification and both men have agreed that they wanted a rematch.
