John LaMond

John LaMond is a veteran radio personality in Buffalo, NY. His radio career started at WHLD-AM and WZIR-FM in Niagara Falls, NY in 1981. Since August 1983, he has been on the air at WYRK-FM. He began his career at WYRK as the 10am to 3pm personality. He later did the afternoon-drive show for 13 and a half years before moving back to the 10am to 3pm slot in 1998. His radio show is heard on 106.5 FM in the Buffalo area and can also be heard on the Internet through the station's website: [WWW.WYRK.COM] LaMond is also the radio station's Production Director, a title he has held since 1991. He has accumulated more #1 Arbitron Ratings books than any other radio personality in the Buffalo/Niagara Falls market. In addition to his radio career, LaMond is a well-known drummer in the Buffalo area playing and recording with numerous rock and blues bands over the past 30 years. He is also a guitarist and singer/songwriter and owner of Saber Lane Studio in Williamsville, NY.
