John Husband (attorney)

John Husband is an American attorney, known as a partner at Hoxlland & Hart LLP.

Early life and education

John Husband received his Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University in 1974. He then attended the University of Toledo, earning his Juris Doctor degree in 1977.

Career

John Husband completed a clerkship with the Honorable Robert H. McWilliams of the U.S. Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals before joining Holland & Hart. He is a partner at Holland & Hart LLP and the chairman of Holland & Hart's management committee. John Husband is a labor and employment lawyer with a 30-year career, he has represented numerous Fortune 500 companies, handling cases in 21 states. John Husband's major areas of practice include employment and labor law, with a focus on labor and management relations, employment litigation, and discrimination and harassment cases. He also handles issues related to trade secrets and non-compete agreements, wage and hour disputes, and matters involving disabilities and leaves.

Football

John Husband played football for Ohio State under coach Woody Hayes, switching positions to linebacker, guard, and tight end. He played on three Big Ten championship teams and appeared in the Rose Bowl three times, winning once. Despite receiving an offer from the Chicago Fire of the World Football League, he chose to pursue law instead of a professional football career.
