John Edmonds Kozma

John Edmonds Kozma (born January 25, 1972) is an American director, actor, producer, cinematographer, and founder of Bang Productions.

Past Projects

Kozma first came to prominence as a producer of music videos, crafting clips for such artists as DEL (a remake of the George Michael classic "Careless Whisper"), N*E*R*D backing band Spymob ("Walking Under Green Leaves"), and rapper Lil B.

In 2004, he produced the independent comedy feature Communication Breakdown and appeared in the film as the character "Sgt. Jeff Blackman."

In 2005, Kozma produced the sports documentary The Enduro at Erzberg, chronicling the world famous motorcycle race in Germany.

In 2006, he followed up the success of The Enduro at Erzberg, with a documentary entitled Travis Pastrana's Baja Diaries, looking at motosport superstar, stunt performer, and MTV personality Travis Pastrana. That same year, Kozma completed his trilogy of motosports documentaries by producing Freestyle Prague, which he also directed.

In 2007, he produced and directed a documentary called Giant Maximus, focusing on the annual Los Angeles-based music festival. The film was narrated by world famous club DJ Armin van Buuren.

Upcoming Projects

In 2007, it was announced that Kozma, along with Jeff Rice (producer of the Emmy-nominated Anna Paquin film ''The Courageous Heart of Irena Sendler), would bring an adaptation of the Erin Chandler's play June Bug vs. Hurricane to the screen. Scripted by filmmaker Nick Cassavetes, the film, entitled Kentucky Rhapsody, tells the colorful real-life story of Chandler's family, led by her father, former Kentucky governor and Commissioner of Baseball A. B. "Happy" Chandler, Sr.

It was announced on November 4, 2009, that Kozma had signed a deal to produce three films scripted by his Communication Breakdown collaborator Richard O'Sullivan: the romantic comedy One Night With You (produced with Home Alone producer Scott M. Rosenfelt); the action film The Teacher (produced with legendary folk singer and actor Tarmo Urb); and the horror flick Hallows (produced with Cabin Fever 2 producer Patrick Durham).

In November of 2009, it was reported by such media outlets as ABC News, IMDb.com and PopCrunch.com that Lindsay Lohan was in talks to play the lead in One Night With You. Lohan later told GossipCop.com that she hadn't yet been offered the role.

On January 21, 2010, it was announced by USA Today that Kozma had signed on to produce a feature film biography AbOUT the life of Hall of Fame boxing trainer, manager, and promoter Lou Duva.
