John Bovée
John Bovée is President/CEO of The Bovee Company, a political fundraising firm in Sacramento, California.
Mr. Bovée graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from the California State University, Bakersfield in 1979, and was also class valedictorian. He began his career in politics and government for Republican causes and candidates the same year, working for two County Supervisors and a candidate for Mayor in Kern County, California. Since that time, Mr. Bovée has been involved in numerous local, state and federal campaigns, serving in many capacities.
From 1985 to 1990, Mr. Bovée was one of the top fund-raisers for California Republican State Assembly candidates. From 1988 to 1995, Mr. Bovée was the Executive Vice President for a statewide trade association; he also oversaw the activities of their political action committee.
Mr. Bovée is also a published author and has written numerous articles for national and state periodicals. He has appeared as a frequent guest on the television and radio talk show circuit and co-authored a book on research published by Louisiana State University Press in the fall of 1999.
He lives in Sacramento with his wife Joanne and their three sons Connor, Griffin, and Parker.
