John Bonetti
John Bonetti (born June 1928 in Brooklyn, New York) is an American professional poker player from Houston, Texas.
Bonetti began playing at the age of 54, and has won 3 bracelets at the World Series of Poker (WSOP).
He has also made several notable finishes in the No Limit Hold'em Main Event:
- 1987 23rd place - $10,000
- 1989 16th place - $12,500
- 1990 8th place - $33,400
- 1992 12th place - $10,100
- 1993 3rd place - $210,000
- 1996 3rd place - $341,250
Bonetti also finished on the television bubble of the World Poker Tour (WPT) Fifth Annual Jack Binion World Poker Open, winning $86,377.
Bonetti has been fighting prostate and spinal cancer since 1992. Bonetti is known for his inappropriate, rude, and obnoxious behavior toward casino patrons, dealers, and other casino staff.
As of 2007, his total live tournament winnings exceed $4,100,000.
