Johannes Korndörfer
Johannes Korndörfer (born in 1980) is a German music theorist, church musician and composer.
Life
Since 1998 Korndörfer has been a lecturer and organizer of the composer class in Dresden, which he himself had previously attended from 1991 to 1998. Until 2006 he studied musical composition, music theory and piano with Jörg Herchet, Clemens Kühn, John Leigh and Christine Haupt. He continued his education with musicology studies. Since 2006 Korndörfer has taught music theory at the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber Dresden, at the associated , since 2010 at the TU Dresden and since 2011 at the Berlin University of the Arts. In 2009 he published a book about the composer Bernd Alois Zimmermann.
Korndörfer was appointed in 1999 to the office of the Schifferkirchenorganist of the parish in Dresden-. In the Kantorei he conducts together with Matthias Herbig several choirs and the ensemble Maria am Wasser founded by him.
