Jinje seonsa
Seon Master Jinje(1934~) is the greatest living master of Seon Buddhism secluded in Korea. He is revered as one of the preeminent Buddhist teachers in the world. He was born in 1934 in Korea, and became a monk when he was 19 years old, fully enlightened at the age of 33 and stands in the 79th Patriarch in the direct lineage of the Great Buddha. He is a renowned teacher of meditation, a living sage skilled in the ancient practices of the Seon lineage that was transmitted from India to China and then to Korea. Seon Master Jinje is one of the only Enlightened Great Masters of Ganhwa Seon alive today. Seon (Zen) flourishes on the Korean peninsula, with thousands of monks and nuns following a rigorous schedule of daily meditative practice in hundreds of mountain monasteries.

- 1967 Receives Dharma transmission from Master Hyanggok, continuing the lineage of masters Gyeongheo, Hyewol, Unbong, and Hyanggok. Recognized in Korea as the 79th Patriarch in The Dharma lineage deriving from Sakyamuni Buddha.
