Jens Nylander

Jens Nylander is a Swedish businessperson. He is the founder of the companies Jens of Sweden, Jays, and Automile.

Early life

Nylander was born and raised in Sweden. He taught himself computer programming as a child.

Career

Nylander founded the company Jens of Sweden in 2003, which made portable media players. The company went bankrupt in 2005 and was taken over by Swiss company JOS. In 2006 Nylander founded his second company, Jays (stylized as JAYS), which manufactured headphones. The devices were first produced in 2007. In 2014 the company partnered with Microsoft to distribute headphones in the US market, and the company is listed on the Nasdaq OMX. Nylander later founded Automile in 2014, a company producing a connected car platform. The platform can record digital data from the car, such as speed or location, and update it to a central platform for use in fleet management. Nylander is the president and CEO of the company, based in Palo Alto.
