Jeff Blackard

Jeffory Blackard is a real estate developer and philanthropist working in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. He is most noted for his latest project, Adriatica, in which he intends to reproduce the look and feel of an old-world southern European village (specifically, an Adriatic coast Croatian village) in Texas.

Real Estate

Blackard's prior projects include commercial centers, office parks, multi-family flats, recreational and amenity centers, condos and villas, patio home communities, row homes, town homes, luxury estates, towers, manufacturing facilities, industrial parks, houses of worship, retail centers, education facilities, hotels and resorts, restaurants, marinas and golf courses. Blackard also does international work and is a partner in a resort development project in Europe, Croatian Dream.

Blackard has focused much of his work on the evolution process of a village. Adriatica, a $350 million vertically integrated, mixed-use development, is located in McKinney, Texas. Adriatica takes its inspiration from the Croatian fishing village of Supetar on the island of Brač.

Blackard has now undertaken another village. This $500 Million village in Westlake, Texas called Entrada will be a continuation of Blackard's Neoretroism philosophy of development. It is slated to begin construction in Summer of 2014. Blackard Global also recently began plans to build it's third village in Corpus Christi, Texas; called Barisi.

Philanthropy

Blackard's philanthropy work includes Amazon Outreach, taking the Gospel to the most remote regions of the Amazon Basin. Blackard also constructed a riverboat equipped with medical and dental facilities to provide aid to the most inaccessible native tribes.

Political Activism

Blackard is also a noted political activist on both a national and local level, perhaps most notable for his support of 2012 United States Presidential candidate Rick Santorum. Blackard has also taken an active roll in races such as the race for Texas Attorney General in support of Ken Paxton. Blackard has also spoken at events for Americans for Prosperity in regards to his Neoretroism philosophy.

Personal

Blackard holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Northwestern University with a major in Communications, attending the University on an Athletic Scholarship in both basketball and track (decathlon). Blackard also holds a PhD in Human Ecology. He has been deemed by Northwestern University's communications college as one of its top 100 most notable graduates.
