Jefe Josh
Joshua Badilla (born May 9, 2010), known professionally as Jefe Josh, is an American rapper and producer, from El Centro, California. He is the founder and CEO of record label, SC-Boom Records, and the “SC” stands for “Southern California”. Josh is 100% Hispanic (Mexican) and loves to represent Chicano culture and make music out of it.
Early life
Joshua Badilla was born and raised in El Centro, California, and would often visit around Imperial Valley, especially Calexico since that is where he went to church, and he would often visit Mexicali. When Josh was 6 years old in 2016, his dad introduced him to “Jump Around” by House of Pain. That moment made Josh realize how much he loves Hip-hop. Josh watched a video at 14 years old in late 2024 about a sample breakdown of “93 'til Infinity” by Souls of Mischief and got inspired. He started making his own beats that day and later founded SC-Boom Records in early 2026.
