Jeannette Jayhawks Football

The '''Jeannette Jayhawks''' is an American football team from [[Jeannette, PA]], AbOUT 30 miles from [[Pittsburgh]]. They won the Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League (WPIAL) Championship eight times in 1932, 1939, 1956, 1971, 1981, 1983, 2006 and 2007. They were PIAA State runners up in 2006 and the PIAA State Champions in 2007.

==Class AA WPIAL Championship==
===Jeannette 61, Beaver Falls 12===
Jeannette defended their WPIAL crown in impressive fashion at Heinz Field, as they rolled over Beaver Falls 61-12. As he has done all season long, Terrelle Pryor had yet another big game for the Jayhawks. Pryor finished the game with 247 yards in total offense while rushing for two touchdowns and passing for two more scores. As a team the Jayhawks were just as impressive, as they out-gained Beaver Falls 449 yards to 152, had 18 first downs to the Tigers five, and had a 28:11 to 19:49 edge in time of possession. In the third quarter, Pryor did it again for Jeannette, running 61-yards on the second play of the second half to put the Jayhawks up 49-6 with 11:02 left in the quarter. The 61-yard touchdown run by Pryor is our play of the week in the Class AA Championship game.

===Jeannette 49, Dunmore 21===
Terrelle Pryor closed out his magnificent scholastic football career with a huge game in leading Jeannette to a 49-21 win over Dunmore in the PIAA Class AA championship game Saturday afternoon in Hershey. Pryor was hardly a one-man gang though as Jordan Hall showed off his versatility in helping to deck the Bucks.
