Jean Lenert

Jean Lenert is a French Violinist native of Metz.

Biography

Jean Lenert is a French violinist native of Metz. Being one of the pioneer violinists to integrate l'Orchestre de Paris (the orchestra of Paris), Jean Lenert subsequently became a tutor, and was granted tenure of C.A. with the grade of 1st appointed. It is this stance that even allowed him to be appointed head of the certificate of aptitude classes (classes de certificat d’aptitude ) at the Ministry. He also taught at the Conservatoire Supérieur (Higher Conservatory), at the Schola Cantorum and the CNSM de Paris (Paris Conservatory), as well as the CRR de Lyon He also integrated the Camerata de France as Director, before being the leader of the violin section of the French Youth Orchestra. All these accumulated experiences have allowed him to perform concerts and master classes in France and in other countries such as China, Japan, Finland, Russia, etc. He was a member of jury in several international competitions and was dubbed Chevalier de l’ordre national du mérite (Knight of the National Order of Merit) in 2002.

Bibliography

With a very rich bibliography, Jean Lenert wrote “L’ABC du jeune violoniste" (The ABC of the young violinist). A pedagogical book released in 3 volumes and published by Billaudot. He later participated in a catalog called "10 ans avec le violon” (10 years with the violin) published by la Cité de la Musique in 1996 with Pierre Doukan. Moreover, it is with the latter that he wrote the 3rd Volume of his book. "L’ABC du jeune violoniste” has also been transcribed by Anne Genevieve Auvray under a different designation, namely “L’ABC du jeune Altiste” (The ABC of young violist).
