Jayesh Sachdev
Jayesh Sachdev is an artist, entrepreneur, photographer and graphic designer based in Pune, Maharashtra, India. He holds a National Record for having painted India’s largest concept artwork, a new-media artwork 40 ft × 40 ft through a 'Tyre-Art' concept. By the age of 26 he had founded Emblem Studio, a contemporary art and design studio followed by the Emblem Art Gallery, which was founded to encourage and showcase new and emerging talent. This won him the award for the Top 5 Young Creative Entrepreneur Award from the British Council India For Visual Arts. In 2011, he launched a lifestyle and fashion label Quirk Box.
Work
Sachdev, who was born and brought up in Pune, is a graduate from Lasalle - SIA College of Arts in Singapore with a major in Advertising and Design. He has held several exhibitions around the world. He directed Sachin Tendulkar in a television commercial, and Sachdev's work has been exhibited at international film festivals.
Sachdev was commissioned a series of 56 pop-art paintings for a "Bollywood walk of fame" of stars in the silent era from 1930s to 2009. Sachdev, sometimes called the leading pop artist in India, has been referred to as India's Andy Warhol.
Fiat Tyre Art
The never before initiated concept of Fiat Tyre Art was used to create artistic impressions on 40 FT * 40 FT Ply Wood, using a Fiat 500 car for a paintbrush. It holds a National Record for the largest New Media Painting in India in the Limca Book of Records.
