Jawdat Al-Qazwini
Jawdat Al-Qazwini is an Iraqi scholar. He has studied in the academic and traditional fields in Najaf and Karbala. He has traveled around different Iraqi cities, seeking biographies of great scholars from different sects. This work has also lead him to travel to other countries, including Egypt, Syria, Iran and India.
Education
Al-Qazwini obtained his B.A. in Baghdad, where he was the university’s top student. . He studied for his M.A. in Cairo, Egypt and his PhD at SOAS University, London.
Work
Al-Qazwini has written over 100 books and 100s of journals some of which have been translated to other languages. He is a well known poet among Arabic readers and is a notable analytical historian. He is also one of the top recognized manuscript editors.
