Jason S. K. Chang

Professor S. K. Jason Chang, Ph.D. is Professor of Civil Engineering Department in the National Taiwan University in Taiwan. He is also a visiting professor of China Academy of Transport Sciences in Beijing.

He has been involved in professional societies, including Executive Director of Transportation Institute in Taiwan, Chair and BOD member of ITS [Asia Pacific Forum], Int’l Program Committee member of the World Congress on ITS, and Int’l Scientific Committee Member of [Eastern Asia Society for Transport Studies]. He is an advisor to Mayor and Taipei City Government since 1994.

In the past ten years, Professor Chang has been invited as advisor for promotion of sustainable urban and transportation development by international institutes and NGOs. Professor Chang was principal investigator of the project called "Green Transport for Chinese Cities", in which more than 15 cities in China have been involved in various demonstration projects from 2000 to 2003. Since 2003, Professor Chang has been invited to provide training courses on BRT and TOD for more than 20 cities in China.

In April 2006, Professor Chang was invited to train representatives from more than 80 cities for the first Car Free Day activities in China. He was also invited to provide lecture on BRT for Delhi Metropolitan in 2001 and then provide lecture on green transport for more than 7 cities in India since 2007. He is now sharing his green transport theory of BBMW in many Asian Cities: Bike + Bus + Metro + Walk
