Jasmine Lee (Artist)
Jasmine Lee, (born 27 August 1993) is an Korean illustrator, poet and children's writer. She is very well known for her storybooks. At the young age of 20 years old, she is in the works of her first children's writer to be published by Dutton Children's Books a subset of the Penguin Random House in late 2014.
Personal life and Education
Lee was born in 1993 to a Korean father and Chinese mother in Seoul, South Korea. She lived in Seoul up until the age of five, and then moved to Shanghai and grew up there. She attended The Britannica International School of Shanghai and is currently enrolled at the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development at NYU.
Career
Lee has been featured in various galleries for her artwork. In 2012 she was part of the June Group Show at the Lyons Wier Gallery in Chelsea, Manhattan.
The Museum of American Illustration held a gallery back in late 2013 for accomplished Steinhardt students in which Lee showcased her illustrations with her fellow peers.
Earlier in 2014, the Aperture Foundation held an exhibition of Lee's illustrations at the Aperture Gallery in Chelsea, Manhattan which is owner of Aperture from late February to early March.

Honors and Awards
Lee received the yearly on going "The West 10th Editors' Awards in Prose & Poetry" award competition for her poetry in 2012 at by the Creative Writing program at NYU.
