Jasmin Guénette

Jasmin Guénette is a public policy and political economy analyst as well as an author born in Montreal (Quebec) in 1972. He holds a bachelor and a master’s degree in political science from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). Mr. Guénette is primarily interested in political theory, human rights, individual liberties, economic freedom, private protection, and law enforcement.

Career

Jasmin Guénette was, simultaneously, a Conference Coordinator (part-time) with Liberty Fund (Indiana, USA) and the Program Coordinator at the Montreal Economic Institute (Quebec, Canada) early on in his career. Afterwards, he became the Director of Public Affairs at the Montreal Economic Institute. Thereafter, he served as Director of Academic Programs at the Institute for Humane Studies at George Mason University (Virginia, USA). He is currently Vice President of the Montreal Economic Institute.

Jasmin Guénette is an IHS Alumni and former president of UQAM's Political Science and Law Alumni Association. He was selected as one of the ambassadors of UQAM as an acknowledgment of his contribution to the development of the university.

Mr. Guénette is often called upon to lecture in different venues. In the past, he lectured at the Institute for Economic Studies in Europe, Institute for Humane Studies, Students for Liberty Annual International Conference, McGill University, and conferences at the National Assembly in France.
