Jasgam
The Jasgam or sometime pronounced Jaskham are a tribe found in the Punjab province of Pakistan.
History & Orgin
The Jasgam tribe are Abbasi descended from the Dhund Abbasi. A person belonging to the Dhund Abbasi living in Muree had 12 sons, one of whom was named Jasgam. He said to have raided Kahuta Tehsil, and settled. His descendants settled in Panjar, Bara, Saroha, Daberan, Phagwari Gala, Salitha, Sarai Kharbuza and Rajrot villages. Like other areas in Kahuta Tehsil, Manyand village is home to many Jasgam(abbasi). A person belonging to Manyand, Muhammad Hussain Abbasi S/O Gulbahar khan lived in kahuta muhalla rajgan worked in HBL CDA Civic Center Islamabad as Assistant Manager Hajj Operations.
Distribution
The tribe occupies thirteen villages in Kahuta Tehsil, including Panjar, Bara, Saroha, Daberan, Phagwari Gala, Salitha, Sarai Kharbuza and Rajrot. A Small number are also found in the town of Mandrah in the Gujar Khan Tehsil of Rawalpindi District.
