Jared Hiltzik

Jared Hiltzik (born 8 July 1994) is an American former tennis player. Thomas has a career high ATP singles ranking of No. 339 achieved on 19 March 2018. He also has a career high ATP doubles ranking of No. 397 achieved on 12 June 2017.

Junior

As a junior player in 2012 he was ranked no.1 by TennisRecruiting.net.

College

In 2013 he lost The finals of the ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships to Clay Thompson. He made it to the second round of the 2013 NCAA Division I tennis championships after beating No.22 Adrien Puget. In the 2014 NCAA Division I Tennis Championships He lost in the first round to Ben McLachlan. He made it to the finals of the 2014 ITA Midwest Regionals where he lost to Torpegaard In three sets. he was the 8th seed. In 2015 he made it to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division I Tennis Championships after beating future doubles world no.1 Lloyd Glasspool in the round of 16. His peak ranking in the Midwest conference in college was No.1 in singles and No.4 in doubles. His highest known ranking in NCAA was No.4 in singles and No.31 in doubles. He graduated from the University of Illinois in 2016.

Career

He entered the 2017 US Open qualifiers as a wildcard. He lost to Marco Trungelliti in the first round.

He entered the 2018 Washington Open qualifiers as a wildcard, and beat Stefan Kozlov in the first round of qualifying. He lost to Alex Bolt in the next round in 3 sets.

Coaching

In 2021, he joined the Charlotte 49ers tennis team as a volunteer assistant coach.

Off the court

After the ITF implemented changes limiting how many points a player could get in futures tournaments, He decided to quit professional tennis and create the company Recovery for Athletes.
