James Spaulding (Guiding Light)
James Spaulding is a fictional character on the daytime soap opera Guiding Light.
Character's background
James Alexander Spaulding is second child of Phillip Spaulding and Elizabeth "Beth" Raines and has four siblings. He is heir to the Spaulding Fortune and future shareholder for Spaulding Enterprises.
James was conceived to save his sister Lizzie's life; his parents were saddened to think their daughter could die. One night Beth and Phillip comforted each other and Beth became pregnant; at first Beth didn't know who the father was, Phillip or Jim.
In 2008 James was supposed to be the star of the church play but he was pushed off the stage by Will Winslow. In April 2009 he will return to town as an adult to see his father, who has been pardoned of his crimes, and is currently in town. And it turns out that James hocked up with the Governor's daughter Amy Young to get Philip released.
