James Gow (sporting director)
James Gow is an English football director. Gow's last position was as the Sporting director of Danish Superliga club AaB.
He was previously part of the Academy Staff in Liverpool F.C. for many years, but he left the club to become the Technical Director in Al Jazira in 2021.
He joined AaB in 2023 as a Technical Director and was promoted to Sporting Director in 2024, when the current Sporting Director, Ole Jan Kappmeier, was elected for the club Board of Directors. When Gow joined in 2023, AaB had just relegated to the 1st Division following the 2022-2023 season. The club gained promotion in the following season to the Superliga. However, the club was relegated to 1st Division once again following the 2024-2025 season. Gow, as well as the rest of the club's leadership, was highly criticized by the fans at the final game of the season on 24 May 2025 against Lyngby.
On 26 May 2025, Gow left AaB following the relegation.
