Jacqueline "Jackie" Minor Adside
Jacqueline "Jackie" Minor Adside (February 1, 1951) is an American educator and 1973 National Champion in the 100 yard dash for the National Jaycees. She was among the first group of women athletes to have their achievements officially recognized by the Michigan Student University. And MSU was the first university in the Big Ten to do so. Adside is an acclaimed educator in the Detroit Public Schools.
Adside received a Bachelor of Science degree from MSU and a Master of Education from Wayne State University. At MSU, she was initiated into the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, which is a historically black female organization.
Adside is employed at Ronald Brown Academy as school counselor where she has numerous awards. She received the Booker T. Washington Educator's Achievement Award for Outstanding Dedicated Service. She is married to Reverend Charles Adside, Jr. and has one son Charles, III.
She is also a Sunday School official in the Church of God in Christ.
