Jacob Agam
Mr. Jacob Agam is an international financier and investor.
He is the founder of "The Vertical Group" - a private equity firm, launched its investment activity in 1991. Over the last 20 years the group investment activities achieved IRR in excess of 120 percent. The Vertical Group principally provides equity capital to small and mid-cap industrial and technology companies with the goal of maximizing shareholder value.

Mr. Agam’s academic legal and business career followed his diplomatic service with the State of Israel from 1974 to 1979. Mr. Agam received his J.D. degree from Tel Aviv University in 1984, and his L.L.M (Master of Laws) in Securities and Corporate Finance from the University of Pennsylvania, in conjunction with the Wharton School in 1985. From 1986 to 1988, Mr. Agam was an attorney at Cooley Godward Kronish, Lieb, Weiner & Hellman, a New York law firm with a specialty in international business and finance. In 1991 Mr. Agam founded the Vertical Group and has been the chairman of its board since its inception in 1993.
Mr. Agam currently serves as a member on the board of trusties of the Tel Aviv University. He is also a founding member of the public diplomacy school of the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC), Herzliya.
Mr. Agam philanthropic activities involve various charitable activities in areas ranging from health care to education.
