Jack Shepard (American politician)

Dr. Jack Shepard (born December 11, 1946) is a U.S. politician from Minnesota. Dr. Shepard has run for various offices over his political career; most recently running against incumbent Senator Norm Coleman in the Republican Party of Minnesota Primary. He is currently living in Rome, Italy and working as a dentist. There is currently a warrant out for Dr. Shepard's arrest in Minnesota stemming from a 1982 arson charge.

Political career

Dr. Jack Shepard has run for numerous political offices during his career to draw attention to his view that he was unjustly found guilty of unlawful possession a medicine found in his possession. He contends he was in lawful possession of those drugs because he had a Minnesota All Schedule Narcotics License.

In 2006 he ran against Obi Sium getting almost 38% of the Vote in the Republican Primary for the 4th Congressional District.

He once again tried to run for political office in 2008, when ran in the New Hampshire Republican Presidential Primary.

In the same year he ran as a Republican against the incumbent Senator Norm Coleman in Minnesota U.S. Senate Primary Election. Shepard received almost 9% of the vote.

In 1979 Dr. Shepard entered a guilty plea bargained for probation, after it was agreed that he did not having [...] with the claimant; who he picked up very drunk at a hotel after closing in one of the Bloomington Minnesota Strip Clubs who followed him in her car back to spend the night with Dr. Shepard; to a minor charge of Fourth Degree [...] Assault. Dr. Shepard was quoted during the last election being very young at the time it was the biggest mistake of his life to take a plea bargain of probation after his attorney convinced him it was better and this way the story of the trail would not get into the newspapers.- Dr. Shepard obviously never being in a situation like this before did not understand The Effects on ones life once they become a "felon", something that millions of inner city and especially minority people experience everyday. Dr. Shepard was incarcerated on March 3, 1981 and he served 8 months. A warrant was issued for his arrest in regard to the first-degree arson only in the state of Minnesota. Dr. Shepard was transferred to Rome, Italy in 1982 where he has since worked and continue his work at the European Regional Headquarters, Rome, Italy for Middle East Peace Out-Reach Programs. And for the past quarter of a century he continues to practice dentistry legally as he continues Middle East Out-Reach Peace Programs .
