In 2004, iWin's top game, Jewel Quest, was declared a Finalist for the 2004 Billboard Digital Entertainment Awards as "Downloadable Game of the Year".
History
iWin, Inc. originally began in August 2001 as Next Game, Inc. with the objective of building a skill-based gaming community. The founders included CJ Wolf, David Fox (writer and game developer), and Warren Schwader.
In June of 2003, the company acquired iWin.com from Flipside, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of one-time media giant Vivendi Universal and changed its name. In an effort to extend their multiplayer offering and expand the community, iWin purchased Playsite.com from InfoSpace in August 2003.
iWin.com has been an online publisher of games of chance and internet lotteries since the late 1990s. iWin.com then offered skill-based games such as puzzles, word games, and card games. It also published online skill-based games.
While iWin still offers online games and skill-based games, iWin's primary focus now is downloadable casual games and multiplayer "Online Party" style games.
